Our history can be traced back to 1974. It started when Sarachin established a small engineering office in Tehran, Iran. Initially the main activities included construction of short roads and byways. Civil engineering soon became the core of our business. Only during the first 5 years of activity, our company has about 700 employees and more than 180 units of heavy construction machinery, and became known as one of the major construction companies in Iran.
After the Islamic revolution in 1979, Sarachin was the first contractor who contracts with the Islamic Republic of the Iran to implement the project. With the Iraq war began against Iran in 1980, Sarachin suffered heavy damages. The loss of skilled manpower and expensive machinery led to increase projects duration, and consequently postponement of project completion and company losing. But Sarachin over 8 years of war still continued its activities and delivers all projects with high quality to the clients.
After the war and the beginning of reconstruction in the country in 1988, Sarachin expanded its fields of activities and our engineers shifted focus and soon became pioneers in the development of oil and gas industry. In addition, Sarachin also offers its services in the fields of mining and metals, civil infrastructures and power industries.
In 2013, our company developed its strategy and decided to enter new areas of business in addition to its core activities. The new shareholders in 2015, added two new strategic business units to Sarachin Corporation. The first SBU was providing financial services to projects. Sarachin already provides its financial services in several models through "FinaSara".
The second SBU is technology and innovation center. The brand of this new SBU is "InnoSara". InnoSara crowd sources innovation solutions worldwide. Our global network of innovators and investors, proven challenge methodology, and cloud-based innovation management platform combine to help our clients transform their economics of innovation through rapid solution delivery and the development of sustainable open innovation programs.
